NATURAL NETWORKING
What is natural networking?
The key to good networking is to be authentic, so there’s little point in forcing yourself into situations that are not comfortable for you.
There are two types of networking, actual and virtual. Actual networking includes networking meetings, exhibitions, shows and other events. Virtual networking includes everything on line. There are so many social media platforms now, and most of them have groups in which you can build effective professional relationships and generate new business. However, understanding the etiquette and the pitfalls in all arenas is vital for your networking success.
The type of networker you want to be is your choice. You may prefer a broad and shallow network that is far-reaching with small but frequent interactions. Alternatively, you may prefer a deep and meaningful network that involves more detailed interactions but may focus therefore on a smaller networking circumference. Each has its benefits, but if you make your choice at the start, it will be easier for you to stay consistent across all platforms.
- Natural Networking can give you additional skills such as learning to read someone’s preferred communication style simply by;
- Their handshake
- What they are wearing and their image
- Their body language
- Their facial expressions
- Their gestures
- The words they use
- What they are not saying
Networking is a life skill, not just a business skill and it can lead to friendships, relationships, or social circles not just business. Enjoy building deep and long-lasting rapport with people on a subconscious level by booking training or workshop.
Michelle has won several networking awards and was bestowed the grand title of Global Networking Giant, by the Global Networking Council. She is one of the most recommended people on LinkedIn worldwide and has run several networking groups of her own, including Uber Groups which included the Electric Chair as an incredibly powerful referral process. Uber Groups was a phenomenal success until Michelle decided to concentrate on other business interests, but the Uber troopers still have the occasional get together and stay firmly connected.
“When you make strong connections, they don’t just fizzle out. They come around again and again. You find that you may have both moved on, acquired different skills and learned new lessons. What’s wonderful is that you find you can now be even more valuable to each other and strengthen that relationship with every new project you may work on together.”
